This fluorescent technology utilizes unique fluorochromes embedded into the microsphere. These Lanthanide fluorochromes possess a Stokes shift (the difference in the wavelength of the excitation and emmissions light) that is greater than 150nm. This minimizes autofluorescence and enables the user to view the results without the need for an expensive chromatic filter to separate excitation and emission light. The test is easy to use and easy to read using our handheld viewer. The fluorescent lateral flow or flow-through test can be developed to yield either a qualitative or quantitative result.
